St Paul’s, Harringay is a community of people from various walks of life who come together in Christian fellowship, worship, and prayer. We seek to serve God by being a welcoming place and spiritual oasis within the London neighbourhood of Harringay. St Paul’s is in the Diocese of London in the Church of England. We enjoy a close working relationship with the neighbouring parishes of Holy Innocents, Hornsey and Holy Trinity, Stroud Green, as well as with Hornsey Parish Church.
Our Christian life is grounded in the rich sacramental and catholic tradition of the Church of England. Although we graft our faith onto the deep roots of the ancient Church, we also live very much in the modern world. Like the incorporation of our church’s strikingly modern architecture into ancient liturgies, members of the congregation strive to incorporate the wisdom of Church tradition into the bustling life of contemporary London.
We welcome visitors into our parish life. Visitors will see others who are young and elderly, single and married, those who were raised as Christians and those who are freshly discovering the Faith. There is no such thing as a St Paul’s ‘type’ of person. We are a diverse community and welcome all those who would like to open their hearts to the warmth of community and the peace of God’s love. More about how we serve our wider community can be found here.
