It is through the waters of Baptism that we become part of the Body of Christ, the Church.
Baptisms at St Paul’s are always celebrated at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Mass, for that is when the greatest part of the worshiping community gathers to share in the sacraments, and the sacrament of Baptism is an important community event. Moreover, St Paul’s is a wonderful place for Baptisms, as the parish celebrates Baptisms with all the joy and ancient rituals befitting such an important occasion. Adults and children who live within the parish or who regularly worship at St Paul’s are welcome to receive Baptism at St Paul’s.
Baptism dates must be agreed to by the parish clergy ahead of time, and Baptisms are always preceded by preparation. Please speak with one of the clergy after a Sunday morning Mass for enquiries, or contact the church at firstname.lastname@example.org. Godparents must have been baptised themselves, and are called to guide the baptismal candidate in the life of Christ.
Jesus Christ calls all people to the waters of Baptism, and it is in Christ’s generous love that the community of St Paul’s welcomes all people to this life-giving sacrament.
